EUROPE: THE COUNTRY I WISH

Europe: should be a model country based on three main qualities: the quality of development, the quality of human resources,and the quality of education. According to me quality of delopment means to assure today and future European citizens a harmonious, durable and sustainable growth of our society. That is a healthy and dynamic economy , an equitable and sure society, a respected and clean enviroment. I wish a European model founded on the centrality of the human being (as citizen, as worker or sudents, as consumer) and on the principle of the quality of life; on the peaceful, tollerant and benevolent coexistence among different people and cultures. Such model should be founded on an active citizenship and on the participation of every individual to great European adventure, because a development of "quality" and sustainable authentically should be democratic and partecipatory: not "exlusive" but "inclusive".
New and more flexible forms of governament, of consultation, of information should be explored to marke of Europe an authentic network and not only an ideal. The necessity to guarantee all people this active citizen ship, that is the leaven of the quality of the European development, leads us to define the second quality, that of the human resources.
As quality of the hman resources I mean the competence, the knowledge, the adaptability and the curiosity that all citzens, young people and less young people, will have to develop. These are essential characteristics not only to find a job or grow up in our own job , but also to practice our own civil, social and cultural rights, to understand, to choose and not to suffer from the great and complex changes of our days, the new technologies, the globalization, the changelles of the bioethics, the "new economy". The issue of the quality of education is becoming more and more important at least three reasons:
· because the formative offer is increasing all over the world (short or long virtual courses for young people and adults);
· because the young people are more and more "flexible", that is ready to spend periods of study abroad that will have to be recognized coming back to their native country (without a quality guarantee, such mobility could be hidered);
· because the preparation of the future European citizens is placed in a more and more complex context,evolutionary and demanding.
· because today a bad education can damage a young person more than yesterday and a good education can offer more advatages and better opportunities.

The quality of education is not only a slogan, but an authentic goal to achieve, and therefore to estimate if we want to pursue the quality of education, the quality of learning and that of the support services. According to me also the comparison and the exchange of information among the European countries can contribute to the improvement of the various thousands qualities of Europe.

MY EUROPE

The European union has to little finished two important and decisive footsteps for his walk of unification: the widening to 25 Countries, with the entry of other 10 States members, and it sign it October 29 2004 to Rome of the constitutional Treatise, undersigned solemnly from the Heads of State of the 25 in the same city where in the 1957 the historian had initialed dealt with Rome. It is dealt with events and of decisions destined to modify deeply the orders international; and their importance results extremely underlined from ulterior elements, that they compete to define a historical context of particular interest and complexity
The leading problem is that an international system constituted from sovereign nations and territorially definite governable only from a power, able to impose the order also with the use of the strength, for prevent dangerous behaviors from part of nations excessively aggressive. The bet from Europe bases itself instead on a vision of the different world, according to which the Countries could speak, join and even abdicate part of their sovereignty.
The element of absolute novelty historian that characterizes the originality of the European process is that he is being realized, certainly with fatiguing footstep, but on the base of the consent, of the State by law and of the democracy.
The people in “my” Europe can travel without problems, in harmony with the people from the other state; Italy, Spain, Holland, France and the others nation must be considered an only thing. The euro and the demolition of the frontiers are only the first footstep; the second will be the unity of the European people in all the senses beginning from the new generations. A concrete union of all the European states is really possible, and we are the first to owe us feel EUROPEAN.

THE EUROPE THAT I WOULD LIKE

"The Europe that I would like", (but) why is Man so insatiable?
The Europe that I want is already here.
Maybe not everything, but there is not much missing.
However strange it might seem, it only needed a few small steps on the part of a few small European ministers to transform what I originally saw as a conglomeration of little states into a vast plain on which one can freely move.
Obviously, most Europeans would not know be able to tell you what I am talking about, or only on theoretical lines, and that is understandable given the century that has just passed with its two World Wars. But those times are behind us.
With this I don't want to say that I live in a perfumed and perfect world; on the contrary, there are always multiple and new problems to face, because their origins havn't changed yet. But today I can choose whether to take a 'plane or a train and move freely around inside this huge state which was once just a series of unclimbable mountains.
Today I can enjoy sitting at a table and have the company of an almond-eyed boy, a dark-skinned girl, or blond young people with eyes the colour of ice, and the wonderful condiment of smiles all round. And to speak, to compare, and soon to be inviting one another to visit our respective home countries to be able to taste something that no words can ever be able to describe. And the one price to pay for all this, apart from travel costs which are diminishing day by day, is the tiredness that one accumulates after a trip so long that my mind is unable to take it all in.
In exchange, I receive wonders, friendships, culture, affection and, if that were not all, I grow up whilst I am doing it.
I grow up in a way that no-one ever before me could possibly imagine.
And all this is nothing else but the beginning of a world that is getting smaller and smaller under the shadow of my pleasure to be living in it.

SOLIDARITY AND MUTUAL RESPECT BETWEEN THE PEOPLE

The European Union is an organism consist of 25 democratic European Countries joined from a common objective: work for the peace and the prosperity.
It is based on the values of the respect of the dignity and the human rights, on the values of freedom, democracy, equality, common values for the States members, in one society characterized by the pluralism, the not discrimination, the tolerance, the justice and the solidarity.
"Solidarity and mutual respect of the people" therefore rapresent one of the main objects of the UE, quoted in the art. 3 of the first part of the European Constitution.
The necessity of this objective is born from the social and cultural diversity of the nations belonged to the UE, different traditions, languages and characters that often involve phenomena of discrimination, intolerance, or attitudes of refusal towards ideas and traditions different.
The European Union is based on one social, cultural and territorial cohesion in the direction of eliminate every type of discrimination and promote the solidarity. Solidarity indicate a feeling of brotherhood and equality between all the people belonging and not belonging to the UE, but solidarity indicate also economic financings, demolition of the debits in relation to the states more poors, that due to political and historical event (colonizations, etc.), today rapresent the countries more backwards. In this way this countries can start the development process of political, sanitary and social organizations.
Therefore the objective is not only to finish the social and cultural discriminations, but also to educate the people to the solidarity, the equality and the tolerance, to the respect of the national identity of the states members, to the political and constitutional structure of the state, but also to help and to support the difficult countries in order to facilitate the development process and to guarantee better living conditions.
It is necessary to put in best of the ways this objective, diffusing in the people its importance and necessity, in order to constitute one true and solid family of states.

THE FUTURE OF EUROPE UNION

After centuries of wars,at last, we are an United Europe.We eliminated customes barriers,unified the work market,fixed standards for every kind of products.
now we have one currency.
But how our future will be?
I think that the future of Europe are us young people,with our projects,our hopes,our traditions and customs.
I see Europe as one state,with many cultural difference, but one law, one flag with many stars that forms a circle to mean that we are all at the same distance from the middle of the circle.
One Europe that will help the poor states, that will accept everyone and welcome the foreign like his home.
I see Europe with new works, new discovery,i see Europe in a farefront in scientifics and uman research.I see Europe like a union to forget the past,and become the future state.I imagine one Europe lounless,one Europe preponed to welcome young people they will come to future.
